Les Caves du Commandeur

Founded more than a century ago in 1913, the Caves du Commandeur are one of the finest examples of the dynamism of Provence cooperatives with modern and efficient facilities completely redesigned and rebuilt in 2013. As a small sized cooperative winery a board of 14 members lead the group of 75 vineyard owners that own altogether 476 hectares/1175 cares. More than half of the vineyards are within the COTES DE PROVENCE AOP and spread across nine villages with different types of climates and soils.

Traditionally oriented towards Rosés at around 90% of their production, Provence red and white wines are also made.

Focused on the winemaking aspect and enjoying a great reputation for the quality of their wines, Caves Commandeur has been the major player in the sales of Premium and Super Premium bulk Provence Rosé wines. It is only in the last 5 years that they are developing their own production of bottled wines with the goal to establish their name that stayed too long in the shades of its neighbors.
